What is Wapiti?

Wapiti is a non-profit organization located in Fort Washington State Park in PA, dedicated to the ancient sport of archery. The club maintains a target course and a free shooting quarry. The club grounds includes a clubhouse, parking, and a picnic area.

A major feature at Wapiti is our target course. The club has developed and maintains a course of ??? targets set in the woods of the park. Archers can follow the arrows the shoot at all targets.Targets are set at different elevations and at different distances.

Approximately once a month Wapiti stages a 3D shoot, locating 3D models of wildlife around the target course. These shoots are open to the public. Click on the 3D Shoot button to the left for more information and a schedule of upcoming events.

Wapiti also has a quarry which is used for free target shooting. Archers can set up their own targets or use the ones already here to practice shooting at different distances, etc.

Wapiti is a private club. Members are free to use the course and quarry at any time. Click on the Join Wapiti link to the left for more information about joining.
